It seems to me that there should be a news product for grownups who want to use the news to make independent, rational voting decisions. Thomas Jefferson shouldn't have to turn in his grave over the current state of the news media.
As a first step toward developing such a product, I'm experimenting with ways of organizing the news stream to put stories in context and counteract the tendency of journalism toward exaggerating the significance of particular events.
My credentials? I like to know things. Also, my education was in the social sciences, though my day job has always been computer programming.
